Mission Statement
The Artist Guild of Shrewsbury creates a common ground to enrich and enlighten artists and the community in the visual and performing arts. We are dedicated to building connections between the arts community of Shrewsbury and the public. We seek to become an organization of prestige by establishing a tradition of special events, public displays, and alternative art education.

AGS Monthly Meetings
Regular monthly meetings are held 7-9 pm from September to May in the Community room (lower level) at Southgate, 30 Julio Drive in Shrewsbury. Exceptions are noted on the AGS 2008 Programs list. The full roster of activities include slide-lectures, demonstrations, hands-on workshops, exhibit participation is open to members only, art excursions and plein air outings. The public is invited to attend any program - $5.00 donation for lecture/slide demonstration; $10 for a workshop, which will build towards the membership fee.

Website Recognition
Recognition is given on the Artist Guild website to all paid members. Members must provide their photo, a brief biography and two digital images of artwork in order to be listed in the e-Gallery. Digital imaging is available to all members at selected meetings by our Webmaster, Aaron Fox of Basement Club Studios.

Membership
Membership is open to all persons, sponsors, or organizations interested in the purpose of the Artist Guild of Shrewsbury. Membership fees are due on an annual basis in September. Prospective members may attend for free any first-time visit to an AGS event other than a demonstration, slide-lecture or workshop. Sponsorships are gladly accepted!
